Dr Chris McLellan
Considered one of the leaders in sports science and strength and conditioning around the world, Dr Chris McLellan founded Fitness Science to provide a new standard in fitness education, training, programs and products on an international scale. With a diverse skill set that includes a Phd in Exercise and Sports Science and a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Dr McLellan complements his formal qualifications with nationally and internationally accredited Olympic Weightlifting, Sports Power, Strength & Conditioning Coaching and Cert III & IV in Fitness qualifications.
Dr McLellan is the Coordinator of Sports Science for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL) where he works with performance staff to develop and implement player monitoring, injury prevention and performance optimisation strategies as part of the teams Physical Performance Team. Chris concurrently holds positions as Associate Professor of Exercise and Sports Science at Bond University where he is the program head for the Master in High Performance Science and is Chair of the Australian Rugby Union / Bond University Sports Science and Sports Medicine Committee. Dr McLellan is an internationally recognised speaker on contact sport, athlete performance, monitoring and injury rehabilitation and is an editorial board member of a number of international sports medicine and sports science journals.
